If you're taking the time to read my adoption profile, then you already saw my pictures and how cute I am!! My name is Molly! I'm a 3-month-old mixed breed who is shy at first but not for long! I play hard and I nap harder! My foster folks say I snore like an old man but I just don't believe them ! I love the outside and jumping around in the grass, with my big foster brother! I am learning this thing, where I go outside and walk around the house on what they call a leash. I'm also learning that I need to use the potty outside! I got a crate that is all mine that I can snuggle in at night time . It's a little scary but I don't mind it too much. I'm still just a little gal so I'll need to be spayed and chipped when I'm old enough. I've got a lot of love to give and learning to do! TANGO, the brindle boy from LA is quite handsome. He is a terrier mix, approx 10 months, 35lbs , neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is crate trained and house broken. During his playtime, Tango enjoys chasing balls, playing Frisbee, and gnawing on chew bones. His favorite pastime is napping on a fuzzy blanket. Additionally, he's diligently working on basic commands. Meet Joel!!! Joel is a 13 week old Hound/Boxer/Lab mix. He arrived in Maryland last week with his litter from an at capacity shelter in West Virginia. He is working hard with potty training. He is very food motivated which is helpful with puppy training. Joel is curious of cats but not aggressive, loves kids, and other dogs. The crate is not his favorite place to be but he does eventually settle. He loves squeaky toys and stuffies and carries some around that are bigger than him!! Joel is a very laid back puppy who loves to snuggle and sleeps through the night. He is vaccinated appropriate to his age.

Axel, Anastasia and Aspen

About Me

Meet Axel(M) Anastasia (F) and Aspen (M). These 3 puppies are 11 weeks old and are ready to go to their forever homes! They are crate trained and working on potty training. They are expected to be medium sized when full grown. Axel: Axel is the most independent of the 3 pups. He does well with other dogs but is perfectly fine to go exploring on his own. While he is crate trained, he is not the biggest fan of the crate. Anastasia: Anastasia is the smallest of the three and has the most spunk. When she isn’t wrestling with her brothers she likes to be in your lap covering you with kisses. Aspen: Aspen is a bit more cautious than his siblings. He is happy to explore and experience new things, but he likes to have another pup by his side. He likes humans but he especially loves other dogs.

Meet Lillian!! Lillian is a 10 week old German Shepherd mix. This girl is beautiful. Lillian is shy and timid with new surroundings. She loves other dogs and prefer a home with them. They make her have the confidence and help her with learning new things. She is very smart and has leaning and growing quickly she is working on potty and the leash but doing good. About Me

Meet KRASH!! This sweet approximately 8 month old neutered terrier mix made his way all the way from Louisiana to find his forever family. Krash is about 35 lbs right now. This sweet guy is still a puppy, so he has some puppy energy, but he is able to settle as well. He loves his dog foster brother Eugene (also available for adoption) and they have a blast wrestling until exhaustion. He’s doing great with his potty training and he does fine in his crate after some initial complaint. Krash came in to the shelter in Louisiana with Demodex mange, so he’s still working on growing all of his hair back on his snoot, but it doesn’t bother him one bit! Krash is a fun, sweet and happy boy who would do well with any family!

The Souvenirs

About Me

Momma Kupid from Louisiana had herself a little too much fun during Mardi Gras this year and ended up with 8 souvenirs!!! Please welcome the souvenirs! These11 week old puppies will be small like their momma (30ish lbs) Momma Kupid is also available, she is about the size of a Basenj and has ears like one too! She is currently super timid, but we are working on that with her.

Spudy

About Me

Meet Spudy!! He is a 2yr old Chihuahua mix and is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. The Spud Man is 8lbs of pure spitfire. He gets along well with other dogs. Spuds is still working on house training and leash walking but does well in a crate. He is a little timid at first around new people but once he warms to you, he becomes a total lap dog and gives the most gentle kisses. His little tail wags so much when he is excited, I swear it’s going to lift him off the ground. About Me

Luke is an adorable and well behaved 3 month old mix breed puppy boy. He will steal your heart in a blink by being so handsome, affectionate, playful and smart. He is easy going, loves everyone and is about 25 lbs and may be about 50 lbs when fully grown. DDDR will cover neutering expenses. He is going through the potty and crate training, is a great listener who already knows a few commands.

Ready, set, go! Say hi to Dozer  This spunky little guy is a 4 year old beagle mix. Dozer is bursting with energy and LOVES attention. He is the least shy dog you'll ever meet. Dozer is ready for anything at any time! He hops right in the car and settles in for whatever adventure you're taking him on. He does well with other dogs and children, but would be best in a home without cats or other furry friends. He is also quite an explorer, in true beagle fashion, and would love a big fenced yard. I love running and playing with my foster dog siblings and ignore the cats in my foster home. I can be very energetic, but also love curling up on the couch with my humans. Meet Hank!!! Aka Hank the Tank, Hanky Panky, and Stanky Hanky. Hank is a 13 week old Hound mix - any other guesses? He arrived in Maryland last week from Louisiana. He is working hard with potty training. Hank is very food motivated which is helpful with puppy training. He is curious of cats but not aggressive, loves people and other dogs. The crate is not his favorite place—he tends to protest but does eventually settle. He loves toys but have found his favorite things are empty water bottles (loves the crunchy sound and chasing them as they roll) and rawhide alternative chew sticks— the crate is not so bad with one of those! Hank is a very active puppy who will in turn need a very active adopter/family to help burn his energy and redirect certain behaviors (normal puppy silliness). Hank was a bottle fed baby so he will suck on your finger to settle himself (Trust me - it’s adorable ) He is vaccinated appropriate to his age. He will be available for adoption on 4/21/23 but can be pre-adopted now!!

IT’S SO FLUFFY!!!! Well, they are. These little fluff balls are our little “fighters”: Ali (female), Creed (Male), and Tyson (Male). When they were born their mother attacked them due to stress. As such they were seperated from her and have been bottle fed from one-day old. They are now 6-weeks old and are available for pre-adoption. They will be able to go home 4/24, once they are 8 weeks old. They are currently 5 lbs. Based mom and dad we expect them to be around 90lbs full grown. They are half german shepard and half herding breed (our guess being australian shepard). They will be shedders and will need regular grooming

Meet Adam! He is a 14 week old mix breed. He is one of the sweetest and easiest puppies out there. He is mostly potty trained and does well in his crate. At his foster home he has been exposed to other dogs, cats, and children and he does great with all three. He has normal puppy energy but will never complain about curling up for a nap with you. He does have a heart murmur, but he went to the cardiologist and his echo showed that it is just a benign puppy murmur and should not impact his future!

Meet Scooby, an approximately 10-year-old chihuahua who is 6 lbs and all cuddles! Like many chihuahuas, Scooby came to us with bad teeth. The rescue took care of his dental and eating is once again his favorite thing to do. Scooby prefers the slower pace of life with cuddles and snuggles under blankets. But he still has lots of spunk and it's absolutely adorable when he gets the zoomies. Kylan loves other dogs and would do very well in a family with another dog. She is working on her potty training but almost has the hang of it. CJ is an 11 lb ., 4 month old mixed breed puppy. His parents were 28 & 24 lbs so he likely will stay fairly small. CJ is a very active boy that loves to play. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is learning to walk on a leash but is slow to enjoy the walk. He doesn’t like the cold or wet ground. He is working on his house manners but hasn’t completely mastered going potty outside yet. He does use pee pads inside though. He hates his crate and cries at night but we are still working on that and there has been improvement. He has some separation anxiety and is slow to warm up to strangers. It is best to approach slowly or let CJ do the approaching. He is not particularly fond of small children, he growls when they come near him. They jump around too much and scare him. He is doing well on his potty training but still has a occasional accident when too busy playing. Champ can be a little nippy when over excited so homes with older children would be recommended. Champ loves his people but takes time to get to know them. He can worry a bit. Trust me he warms up and gets very sweet. This little lady is Lola and she is looking for a special family to adopt her. You see, Lola is deaf. But this does not hamper her love of life in the least. Lola is about 1 year old, spayed, crate-trained, and working on potty training. She is about 25lbs but does need to put on some weight. We expect to be about 30 lbs once there. Lola is full of energy and loves everyone. She will leap across the room to come sit on your lap and shower you with affection, but can also regularly be found romping around and wrestling with all her doggy friends. Lola has not spent much time around children but would likely do well with ones that are able to understand her condition. We also highly recommend having another dog in the house for her to look to for cues on what's going on.

Meet Lance a shy but lovable 9 month old Terrier Boxer mix. Lance is very mild mannered and scares easily so small children are not a good fit for him. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play once he is comfortable with them. He has only had 1 potty accident in the house and that was when the fosters grandchildren (6 & 4) were visiting and running wildly like children do. Lance is learning how to walk on a leash, something he didn’t have much experience with. He is very food motivated so training should be a breeze. Hi — I’m Tawny!! I’m a female 9 month old Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix. Just came up North and am hanging with my Foster family until I meet my “Forever”. I still need to be spayed but that is financially taken care of by the Rescue. I love other dogs and would do very well in a family with another dog. Boy, do I love to eat which my Foster Mom said is great for training— yum yum yum! I’m still working on my potty training but am definitely getting the hang of it— going to the door when I need to go. I do well in the crate — just give me something yummy (and safe) to chew on. This beautiful dog goddess is Sassy! Pictures certainly don’t suffice with how gorgeous this girl truly is! And this girl is just as sweet as her beauty! Sassy is said to be around 2.5 years old. She looks to be an Aussie Shepherd her foster momma believes. She’s a little timid when new people walk toward her but warms up quickly! After a few short days, Sassy quickly declared to her foster momma that her Love Language is physical touch! She absolutely loves physical affection and she’s not afraid to climb all over you and demand all your love. Sassy has been living with two other dogs at her foster home and she does well with them. She hasn’t completely submerged into playing with them, but she does watch them play as she sits by her foster mom’s side. Sassy is typically a very happy girl! Say hello to Kento! Foster mom affectionately calls him Pinto Bean, however. Kento is a sweet 7-month old mixed breed pup, approximately 40lbs. Unfortunately, up until about a month ago, Kento has spent his life inside the four walls of a garage with little socialization with the outside world. So naturally, lots of aspects of the world has been a scary experience for this innocent boy. Despite his limited experience in the outside world, Kento LOVES dogs! Meet Koa!!! This boy is an absolute gem! He is a 10 month old, 62lb (pretty much full grown), Hound mix. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, completely house-trained, and microchipped. Koa is dog friendly (takes a moment to warm up)— loves to run around the backyard with his current foster brothers but can also be very independent. He has lived with cats and is uninterested in them. The crate is not his favorite place to be but he does eventually settle especially with a (safe) yummy treat. This sweet girl is Nikki, a 50 lb. medium-sized, brindle beauty mountain cur mix. Nikki came from Louisiana with her puppies, and now she is ready to find her forever home. Meet Dixie, a stunning beagle/chihuahua/maybe dachshund mix weighing in at 26 lbs. She has a loving and very sweet temperament. She loves everyone she meets especially small children. Dixie is approximately 2 years old and is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Once Dixie gets settled and comfy in her new environment she is very playful and attaches herself quickly to her caregiver. She is truly a lap dog! Dixie came to the rescue with an old injury to her left rear leg. The injury has healed but left her with a limp. She was taken to the rescues vet who determined she was not in any pain and could function fine without further treatment. Dixie gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home, always running and playing with them. She does, however want to be the dominant pouch. She is very curious about the cats in her foster home but just sniffs them and walks away. Dixie listens well but is very food motivated and has to be fed separately from the other dogs because she tries to eat everyone’s food. Dixie walks very well on a leash and will be an exceptional family pet. This sweet lil fella is Gunner. Gunner is approximately 5 years old. He is a lil shy at first but once he warms up he’s wagging and wanting your attention. Gunner is quite content sitting/napping next to you on the couch. He does well with other dogs, chicken and ducks. He’s still not sure about the sheep and goat. Cats are unknown. He does well with car rides and being crated. Due to the hoarding situation he came from, it will be best to feed him separately from others, at least for now. Alta is the sweetest 2-year-old beagle mix you could ever meet. She came to the rescue in 2021 with her 6 puppies. She was adopted but recently returned because her family could no longer care for her. Alta originally came into the rescue as Heartworm (HW) and Lyme positive but received treatment and is now HW negative. She will need to be kept on HW preventative for the remainder of her life. She has continued to test positive for Lyme disease but is not displaying any symptoms. Alta is house and crate trained. She walks well on a leash but that beagle nose makes her stubborn at times. If something catches her eye or nose, she will go after it. The person at the end of her leash needs to be prepared or could easily be knocked off their feet. Alta loves other dogs and children. She is very interested in the cats in her foster home but so far has not shown any aggression toward them. Alta’s favorite pass time is sitting on your lap getting pets. Alta’s wish list contains: a family to love her; a fenced yard but would be happy with lots of love, attention, and walks; a dog friend to play with and; dog-friendly home where she can curl up on the sofa!

Hi, I'm Dolce, a 4-year-old, 40lbs petite shepherd mix. My litter of puppies and I came to Maryland from Louisiana. The babies have all been adopted and now I'm waiting for my forever home. My foster family says I'm a well-mannered girl who loves to give kisses. I am spayed and housebroken. I don’t care for the crate, they say I have some separation anxiety but I am working on it! I can be unsure of new dogs at first, so will need slow introductions if my new Forever home has other dogs. I've had limited exposure to cats but didn't pay much attention to them. Faith is a small mixed-breed dog between 7-10 months old. Currently weighing around 27 pounds. It did take her a while to warm up to me after her trip here from the shelter, but once she learned that she could trust me, she hasn't looked back. She loves to snuggle and give kisses. She has two larger dogs that she plays with nonstop. If she isn't taking a nap, they are playing together. She loves to run and boy is she quick! Meet Journey! She is a 2 year old, 23 lb petite terrier mix. She made the long trek from Louisiana two months ago with a positive HW diagnosis and fresh hip (FHO) surgery. She has spent the last 30 days recovering from her treatment and will be available for adoption next weekend (4/22) pending a follow-up heartworm test. She has been a joy to have since day 1, getting along with her older foster brothers and being completely house and crate trained. This boy is a GEM!! Meet Max! Max is an approximately 1.5 year old neutered retriever mix from WV. Max only weighs around 45 lbs now but could definitely stand to gain a few! Max is already neutered and housebroken! Max is a little anxious around new people and new situations, but once he warms up he is a huge snuggle bug! He tries to lay in your lap he wants to be so close to his person. Max is not a huge fan of the crate due to some past bad experiences, but after a little bit of protesting he settles down well. With some time and making sure he knows the crate is a nice space, he should do fine. Max is a medium energy guy, he very much enjoys playing with the dogs in his foster home, but he will definitely settle for a cuddle and a movie too. He’s also been friendly with the cat in his foster home. He did try to play with her, but there was no aggression, and he backed off right away after a little slap. Hey there! My name is Simba! I’m an approximately 2 year old, 50ish lb spayed pitty. True to the breed I am an absolute bundle of love! I get so excited to see people I can’t stop my licker and I will try my best to curl up in your lap. My foster family is working on getting me to stop jumping, but I may not be the best fit for those with the tiny or frail since I don’t understand I can knock someone over with my joy at meeting them. I do really well with using the potty outside and I may protest for a few minutes in my crate, but I settle quickly as long as I have something comfy to lay on. Winston: 3 year old Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Neutered and UTD on shots. 80lbs Winston's original owners bought him in a trailer park from an "American Bulldog" breeder. He was bought during covid so a mix of bad breeding and lack of socialization led to some fear issues. He came to me last May and learned how overcome those issues. His owners were elderly and tried their best to keep up with the training but then decided it was too much for them. Winstons only issue was acting scary when someone he didn't know spooked him. After almost a year of training with me he has made almost a complete 180. He now loves people cause he learned people = food and cuddles. There will still occasionally be a person that he is unsure of so his new owner will need to learn how to read his signals and advocate for his space when he is uncomfortable. Winston knows who he can trust to keep him safe and who he can't. Winston is a love bug. He is good with dogs, cats, and humans as long as you read him and make sure introductions are positive and not forced.

Canelo (English -cinnamon) is a one-year-old beautiful male husky who is super sweet with all humans and very playful. He has been around many children of different ages and does amazing. His previous family could no longer keep him due to a separation. Canelo loves and does very well around the female dogs (males unknown) in his foster home. He will not do well on a farm, he gets highly excited around the farm animals and has killed chickens. Canelo loves the outdoors. What’s up, my hoomans? I’m Kelsey! I like to identify as a petite baby land seal, weighing in at about 45lbs. Though, my foster mom calls me her house motorcycle. She says I snores when I’m asleep and I snorts when I’m awake! I say.. not my problem, I’m a princess  I’ve been ruling this place called Earth for somewhere around a year? My stomping grounds reside in Louisiana, where I was found as a stray after being hit by a vehicle and left. Through physical therapy, I’ve battled my way back from tough injuries, including a broken pelvis, like all resilient land seals usually do. Despite the unfortunate hand I was dealt, I refuse to let anything get me down! My foster mom has 3 other home dawgs at the house that I LOVE to play with. I’ve also recently met another furry friend the hoomans call a cat? I did well and was super curious, but didn’t chase it! I walk really well on a leash and even try to greet every person I walk by with a body wiggle and tail wag! My potty habits have improved and I barely have accidents in the house when I’m on a schedule. I’m truly one of a kind, if I say so myself! This little cutie patootie is Fern! Fern is an approximately 1.5 year old, 15 ish pound Boston Terrier pulled from a hoarding situation in WV. Fern will be spayed before adoption. Fern is a super sweet girl who just loves people. She seems to get especially attached to one person in the home (right now it’s her foster mom) and becomes their shadow. She is very cuddly. Fern would prefer to be the only dog in your home, but she’s done absolutely fine with the cat in her foster home. Fern is doing really well on housebreaking. She is not a huge fan of the crate, but usually quiets down after some heavy protesting. Fern would love to be your forever sidekick!

Greetings from Trevor! Trevor is around 5-6 months, a hound-mix, weighing in at around 20lbs. Trevor came to us about a week ago, very nervous, timid and unsure of people. His foster mom has been working to earn his trust and teach him how to embrace human love. Despite his skepticism, Trevor is ALWAYS a happy boy when he sees his foster mom come back home. He has grown to accept butt scritches, offer play nibbles even started to cuddle around his foster mom! Speaking of cuddling!!! Trevor is a huge cuddle bug with all the dogs who will allow him to curl up on and around them. He LOVES other dogs and has allowed them to teach him routines. Trevor is gradually getting better at his potty habits, thanks to the guidance of the other pups in the household! This pup is always happy and always looking for the next adventure to explore. He’s also not afraid to use his big boy hound bark in hopes of getting attention or getting his way! Trevor has shown no signs of resource guarding and shares the toys very well with all the other pups. Trevor would love a home with a patient family, even better having another pup in the household to learn from and be his forever playmate!
